Night, the Beloved!!

"Night, the beloved. Night, when words fade and things come alive. When the destructive analysis of day is done, and all that is truly important becomes whole and sound again. When man reassembles his fragmentary self and grows with the calm of a tree."
~Antoine de Saint-ExupEry

Often associated with the dark, evil and fear is the time of night! But seldom do we credit it for giving us the moments for personal redemption after a day that might have not been as bright as the sun promised it to be.

When the majority opts to slip into the world of dreams and give the body and mind peace and rest they earned after a laborious day, some of us treat the darkness as an asset for diving into the depths of our thoughts and polishing the ideas. The quiet and peaceful ambience of the night is just perfectly crafted for analysing our dreams with open eyes for Catherine O'Hara has said, "Night time is really the best time to work. All the ideas are there to be yours because everyone else is asleep."

But there's still more to this beautiful gift of nature! We all go through some really rough patches during most of the days of our life. We break down but still try to look all sober in front of the vile world. But as soon as our head feels the soft pillow under itself and darkness surrounding, there seems no need to stop our tears and the pain and sorrow gushes out without any restrictions. The night is the only witness of our break down and it burries it all in the black folds. Night has been so rightly described as a blotting paper for many sorrow!

Day is praised for the fact that we learn a lot with each rising sun. But we can't strip the night of the dignity for it teaches us the importance of 'HOPE'! So many survive on just a flickering flame of hope!
"One may not reach the dawn save by the path of the night."
~Kahlil Gibran

Living through a night overcoming all the possible fears with supposed hope to see a glowing sun of tomorrow. Moreover we can never relish or reach a day without crossing through the path of night!

The nature has it's laws of balance. Antimatter for matter, hot for cold and so goes with night for day. It balances reality with the dreams, the hustle bustle of day with it's quietness, the labor of day with a pause of sleep, and the most importantly it balances the monotonous blinding light of sky lit with a single sun by a dark sky glittering dimly with li'l pecks of stars and a calm shape changing moon symbolising the changing scenario of the world!

"No sight is more provocative of awe than is the night sky."
~Llewelyn Powys

Night has it's own beauty. The night sky filled with the glamour of stars and moon is simply irrestible for eyes that admire and aspire the glitz. Some describe the night in poems with exaggerating the feelings aroused by the dark, being fear, sorrow and sometimes love, while some paint it on a canvas with shades of greys and blacks potraying the beautiful hues with a certain mystery.

Nonetheless, the night has it's own mesmerising and rich liveliness! A time where dreams and thoughts and all that's trapped inside the soul comes to life and breaks almost all inhibitions!

Vincent van Gogh has so aptly said, "I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day."
So, just embrace all that the beloved night has to give you and give it all that you want to let go.

Break free and Fly!!

When I look out of the window
And stare at the sky,
My heart wants to break free
And I wish to fly!!

My dreams ain't too small,
They need space to spread their wings.
Mind craving to soar against the fall,
It needs no push to spring!!

Feet trying to move on a path,
I thought was traced towards desireables.
But at steps I fall prey to the wrath,
Losing something stumbling on pebbles!!

I thought I knew all that's needed,
For me to break free and fly.
But missed some stuff I should've heeded;
For now it seems a petty try!!

The blue sky and clouds white,
Will have to wait for me.
Coz I'll be trying to fly quiet;
And eventually learn to break free...
